Thank you for visiting the Consulate of the Republic of Slovenia in Colorado.
2011 and 2012 mark the 20th anniversary of Slovenian independence and international recognition. Over this time period, Slovenia has accomplished all of its foreign policy goals by becoming a member of the European Union, NATO, and OECD. Slovenia was the first of the formerly communist countries to adopt the Euro, and the first to hold the rotating Presidency of the EU.
In accomplishing these achievements, Slovenia had many supporters and friends in Colorado, including the former Honorary Consul (now Consul Emeritus) Congressman Ray Kogovsek. The Consulate and the Slovenian community in Colorado owe him a deep debt of gratitude.
The Consulate is located in downtown Denver, on the fifteenth floor of the Tabor Center office building.
The mission of the Consulate is to serve the peoples of Slovenia and Colorado by:
- Developing commercial, scientific, military, cultural, educational, tourist and sports links
- Promoting mutual understanding
- Providing consular and other assistance to Slovenian citizens in Colorado
- Promoting overall cooperation between Slovenia and Colorado
